Please read though our FAQs. If you don’t find what you are looking for, please feel free to contact us directly. But please remember we are all volunteers and might be on a bike ride somewhere etc or or even asleep (depending on when you send the form!).
Q: Where does the ride start from?
- The start of the ride is at the village hall in Bishop Monkton – Knaresborough Rd, Bishop Monkton, Harrogate HG3 3TN
- Car parking is not available at the village hall – If arriving in a vehicle, please go straight to the parking field which is about 0.5 miles east, on the Boroughbridge Road, just opposite Lawnfield Road. (For your satnav: Lat 45.095206, Lon -1.491655 ; note the minus sign). After parking, cycle back to the Village Hall to check in!
- Please do not park in the village itself as this will cause congestion and inconvenience for locals
Q: What time does registration open?
Registration opens from 7am. First riders will cross the start line at 8am
Q: How far is the ride?
The ride is 100km and includes a mix of quiet back roads and small sections on busier A roads.
Q: What do I do if I need to cut the ride short?
In the unfortunate event that you need to cut your ride short, if possible, make your way back to the start point and notify a member of the ride committee.
If you cannot make it back to the start, please call the number on the reverse of your ride number for assistance.
Q: Can I use an electric bike?
Yes! As long as it conforms to the road laws regarding electric bikes.
