Katherine Friis, a director at our lead sponsor, Specsavers, entered into the spirit of the event by taking to the road and for the first time ever completed a 100K bike ride. She will talk of her experience at our annual sponsors lunch later in June.
Stewart Hymas (pictured), MD of Alfred Hymas, also registered for the event this year, but then had a better offer and cycled in Majorca instead. Stewart sent us a photograph, complaining that he would have had better weather riding with us – maybe next year!
To complete the trio of sponsors who cycled this year, Gary Cross, the landlord of The Masons Arms in Bishop Monkton, not only hosted the Hambleton Brewery “Saddle Sore Ale” but was prominent in being a very early arrival back at the finish.
Well done to all three for their support.
